The Vintage Paint Company is owned and run by Melanie Pursglove, whose passion for paint and restoration led her to set up the specialist paint business. Melanie, like her father before her, has a vast knowledge and empathy of the refurbishment and restoration market, with over 50 years cumulative experience between them.

Since its launch the West Midlands based business has rapidly risen to become a leading specialist in the supply of authentic paints for enthusiasts and professionals alike. Melanie puts this down to the fact that she and her team are able to address the exacting needs of this wide ranging yet specialist market. They are able to do this by making use of the team’s skill and experience in colour matching, and an extensive research database. The research database is key to the company’s success in such a vast industry sector ~ including classic cars, military vehicles, railways, commercial vehicles, buses, marine, architectural and last but not least agricultural.

It is with this last sector in mind ~ agriculture ~ that the company has now set up a direct marketing operation to supply Agricultural Dealers with an exclusive range of high quality refurbishment / restoration paints ~ direct from the manufacturer to the retailer. This direct trade service with a dramatically reduced supply chain and distribution network will be offer enhanced profits. Initially there will be a core range of 40 stock colours plus a bespoke service for specialist and project needs. This service will use colour matching, where an in-depth knowledge of the subject combines with the very latest technology to provide the ultimate solution.

The launch of The Vintage Paint Company’s range of specialist paints, being marketed as The NOSTALGIA Collection, demonstrates the company’s recognition of the importance of meeting the needs of niche markets and is appropriately launched under the brand name PastMASTERS.

This ‘direct to the dealer’ service will be backed up with over 60 years experience of the world of agriculture, an extensive knowledge of agricultural history and an ongoing research and archiving facility culminating with Agricultural Dealers being able to offer their customers an enhanced new service.

The Nostalgia Collection combines traditional values with the very latest in paint technology. The collection will deliver that nostalgic classic coach enamel finish that is high gloss, chip proof and retains its ’just painted’ look for years and is, above all else, lead free. The applications spread well beyond the tractor to include agricultural items such as implements, stationery engines and machinery, steam engines, hurdy gurdies ~ and the list goes on.
